Once drawn with feather and starch on open on open ground. Now carried forward in a new language- but the hand that imagined it is still here.

Eleko Mark is an indigo Adire-inspired textile  on  cotton, developed for contemporary fashion and interior applications.

The design draws from the distinct markings created through traditional Eleko resist-dye techniques, expressed through bold, structured pattern elements.

Its indigo tones and defined pattern composition make it suitable for garments, accessories, and interior textiles.

Details & Care

A unique handmade textile

Each fabric is created through an artisanal process. Variations in pattern, colour and detail may occur between pieces, making every textile distinctive.

Care instructions

  • Wash gently in cold water.
  • Use a mild detergent.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Wash separately, especially before the first use, if colour transfer is possible.
  • Line dry in the shade.
  • Iron on the reverse side at an appropriate temperature for the fabric.

Colour representation: We make every effort to photograph our fabrics accurately. Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen and lighting conditions.

Please note: Handmade variations are part of the character of the fabric. They are not necessarily defects.

Fabric Technique

Technique: Tie & Dye — Resist Dyeing

Tie & Dye involves tying, folding, binding or otherwise securing selected areas of fabric before dyeing. These areas resist the dye to varying degrees, creating distinctive lines, contrasts and patterns.

Each piece reflects the particular arrangement of the fabric and the artisanal dyeing process.

Made by: Artisans in Nigeria.
