The Mati bandana is our boldest statement piece. Inspired by the universal evil eye symbol found across Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and West African traditions, this design transcends borders and speaks a global visual language.

Hand-drawn eyes in cobalt blue, deep red, and golden yellow are layered across a warm flame-coloured ground. Every glance reveals a new detail — dotted outlines, curved forms, nested circles. It is art you wear.

bandana drapes beautifully as a neck scarf, hair wrap, bag accessory, or pocket square. The semi-sheer quality of the fabric gives the colours a luminous, painterly quality in natural light.

Designed by Adirelounge, a Paris-based textile design house working at the intersection of craft heritage and contemporary print culture. Each design is digitally developed from original hand-drawn artwork and printed to order.

Impact & Reporting

🌍 Sustainability at the Heart of Every Thread

At Adirelounge, sustainability isn’t a trend — it’s our way of life. Our mission is to preserve traditional textile craftsmanship while protecting the planet and empowering people. Here's how we do it:

♻️ Eco-Friendly Dyeing Techniques

We use plant-based and low-impact dyes that are gentle on the environment. Our traditional Adire hand-dyeingprocess consumes less energy and produces minimal waste compared to industrial dyeing methods.

🧵 Slow Fashion, Thoughtfully Made

Each piece is made-to-order or in small batches, honoring the slow fashion philosophy. This minimizes overproduction and ensures that every product is cherished, not discarded.

👩🏾🎨 Empowering Women Artisans

We work with local women artisans to create our textiles, providing skill-building, fair wages, and economic independence. Each piece tells a story — of hands, heritage, and hope.

🌾 100% Homegrown Cotton & Natural Blends

We source locally grown cotton and use natural cotton blends, supporting ethical farming while reducing transportation emissions. Our textiles are breathable, and kinder to the earth.

🌱 Low-Waste & Plastic-Free Packaging

Our packaging is plastic-free, recyclable, or compostable. We keep our footprint light from production to delivery — because sustainability doesn’t stop at the product.

📸 Transparent Impact Tracking

We’re building a platform that lets our customers see the real impact of their purchases — from water saved and CO₂ reduced to worker welfare and craft preservation.

Preserving Culture, Protecting the Earth

Adirelounge is where African heritage meets ethical innovation. Every fabric carries history, every dye pot holds tradition, and every stitch leads to a more sustainable future.
